When will more manufacturers start delivering nVidia 680a SLI motherboards? As best as I can tell, Asus is the only company with an nForce 680a motherboard out there. Perhaps I'm falling for a marketing trap by believing that a BFG nForce 680a motherboard would somehow improve upon the performance of a pair of BFG 8xxx graphics adapters. So two questions: 1. Any ETA's for other makes of 680a motherboards? 2. Will the others be any better really?

Motherboards? please read this carefully and give me detailed answers.. So I was building my computer online and I came across the choice between these two motehrboards: Asus P5N-E SLI nForce® 650i SLI Chipset w/6-channel CODEC, Gb LAN, S-ATA Raid, USB 2.0, IEEE-1394 Dual PCI-E MB and Asus P5N32-E SLI nForce® 680i SLI Chipset w/7.1 Sound, Gb LAN, S-ATA Raid, USB 2.0, IEEE-1394 Dual PCI-E MB Since I don't know that much about motherboards I don't know If I should spend the extra $100 on the second one. I am planning to get: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6700 Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTS 640 MB and 2 gb ram Now here are my questions: 1 Since I like to play high quality games (like Half-Life 2, Doom 3, Call of Duty 2, etc) Will the motherboard make a difference in gaming performance? (like frames per second, quality, etc) 2 If so, will it mkae a huge difference? is it worth the extra $100? 3 What makes motherboards cost more anyway? consider this the 4th question I don't know that much about motherboards and the only difference I see in the second motherboard is the "680i SLI Chipset w/7.1 Sound" part. What advantage does this have over the other one? is there any other added things on the second one that the first one doesn't have?

I'm looking for a motherboard that is, as I said earlier, compatible with my type of desktop and with better performance. Any suggestions?
Does high vibration on motherboards a problem? One of the blades in the CPU broke, now it's shaking the whole board including the cards on it. I check the hard disk and it does not shake that much compare to others attached to the motherboards. I'm worried on the Processor and the Video card as well as to the board itself. Does high vibration on motherboards a problem? I'll be hoping for an answers. Thanks. Hi karz, it's about 3 months now since it broke (i broke it sshh...). And my only problem was a fatal error telling something like "...volume_unmounted" where it prevents it to load windows even in safe mode, it showed the same error. A while ago another problem occur where it boots but doesn't show anything but a blank screen, and an orange monitor LED. I set the fsb jumper from [133/166/200] setting to only [133/166] setting and it turned back on normally. Without the error now.
