Gateway laptop? Anybody else have problems with gateway? I sent my laptop in because it wouldn't charge, mind you the laptop was in prefect working condition other than that.They sent it back to me saying there was a liquid spill! WHAT?! Impossible.Oh and now the laptop doesn't work at all! I am wondering how a perfect laptop that wouldn't charge turned into a laptop that is dead and doesn't work at all?I just needed a new battery for crying out loud.I repeatedly called gateway and now there is a block on my laptop so it can't be repaired ever again.And I still have my warranty.Any ideas on how I can solve this problem?

My gateway laptop started to heat up excessively and cannot be used without charger adapter. why? I have a gateway laptop which served me really well till date. Recently it started to heat up really bad. And even if i fully charge it, the charge doesnt stay longer than 5 minutes after unplugging it. If I shut it down whilst it has been fully charged, upon switching on later, it flashes the low battery sign. I even tried recalibrating it, but it is of no use. Is there any idea of wats been going wrong with it?

can you format an old gateway laptop with an hp disc? I have a three year old gateway that needs a full system restore. I dont have the old disks anymore to do that. I have a new hp laptop with vista and I would like to try using those restore disks with the gateway, will that work? If not is there somewhere I can download a gateway restore disk for free?

I have a Gateway laptop battery that doesn't appear to be charging? My Gateway laptop battery 6MSBG appears to remain uncharged. I believe it's a problem with the battery and not the laptop. When I remove the battery and press the button next to the charge indicator LEDs, 2 of the LEDs (25 and 75) blink 3 times. That's all I have to go by. Can anyone explain to me the most inexpensive way to repair a completely hosed lcd screen on a Gateway laptop? How to activate the numerical "keypad" and other accessary key pads (marked in blue) on a Gateway Laptop? My Gateway Laptop has an "Fn" key highlighted in blue in the lower left of the key pad. When I use it (press down on it) and use another of the accesroy (in blue) keys - eg. screen brightness / screen dimmness - nothing happens. What is the procedure?
