Can anyone recommend an inexpensive computer parts catalog? My Husbands screen cracked on his notebook computer and we cannot afford to pay someone to repair it. So I suggested he do it himself since he has installed memory, sound cards, graphics cards, and USB ports on computers before. I was wondering where we could get a new screen at a reasonable price. Why Fujitsu Notebook computer has leakage AC~17Volts through the exposed metal part when connected to wall AC? My notebook computer has been burning my finger tips and palms should I be concern for some radiation ? I have a Gateway notebook it is 4 years old but it works just fine but in the last 4-5 mos I've noticed a strange feeling when my fingers, palms and parts of my arm are touching it it sorted has a burning feeling sometimes the pain radiates up to my upper arm and I have to turn it off because it is painfully hot. From Vista To XP On A Notebook? I'm thinking of going from Windows Vista to Windows XP on my notebook. No games can run at ALL. This is because I only have 1 GB of RAM and Vista needs 2 GB to run properly. When I say no games I mean no games. A very bad game such as MapleStory can't run... That's how bad it is. Why can't I install the print server on my notebook computer? As part of the install process, you click on "Start." Then you click on "Printers and Faxes." But "Printers and Faxes" does not appear on the screen. Therefore, I cannot continue the process of installation. I have Windows XP home edition. I have a Lexmark "all in one" printer. Is this because computer is a notebook, a Windows 7, or why? I had a personal computer years back. For the greater part of last year I'd use the PCs at library, and only recently (three months), have been using a Compaq, Windows 7 notebook. When I check the system requirements for a game, specifically the part about video cards (which are usually referring to desktop graphics cards), how do I know that the graphics card on my laptop will be able to play the game as well? Problem with Asus Notebook screen.? Alright so I have had my notebook for exactly 5 months. I got it on December 11th from a trusted computer and computer parts seller. It's an Asus notebook F50SL series. Here are some core details: -Intel core2 duo cpu, t6500 @ 2.10ghz -4gb ram -32 bit operating system -ATI mobility radeon hd 4570 Now what happens is when the screen is on a certain angle, blue fuzzy lines will show at the top and bottom of the screen. Usually it just happens when I accidently move the laptop a little bit, but it gets really bad when I move the screen. It fuzzes all over and begins to get very annoying. When I first brought the laptop, the left side hinge clicked often when I moved the screen but I just got over it. But then the lines started showing up like, once or twice but now it does it almost everyday. There is NOTHING else wrong with the laptop other than bloody blue line stuff. Even now as I type, I see it showing under the taskbar, on the edge of the screen. And it spazzes every few seconds. I really need help because I don't want to take it into a shop if it's just a small minor thing that I can fix myself. So please, help me figure out what is wrong with this thing? Thank you.

Best Notebook Audio Solution? I've been using an old pro PCMCIA sound card. My notebook (Toshiba Satellite L100-194) shutdown without any warning & HDD or CPU makes noises? I have an L100-194 notebook, which was really good. I have two main problems. First, the HDD (or the CPU, I don't know) makes interesting noises. It likes "screaming". It occurs at least once in every hour. Just half or one second long and loud. The other thing is when my computer shutdown without any warning.Shutdown. No signs, no screens. It occurs in Ubuntu and in XP too. I hope someone can help me. But I think I have to go back to the store where I bought it. Someone told me that the problem maybe overheating related. If the temp rises to a critical level then the notebook shut downs to prevent the hardware from the damage. Possibly the cooling modules don’t work correctly and cannot cool the notebooks parts properly. Possibly the strange noise comes from the cooling module and the ventilators don’t work as should. What do yout think?

Anyone got advice for assembling a mini computer, battery operated, ethernet, 4 inch screen, windows xp etc? What I want is a portable computer, not a notebook on which I would like to develop applications. It should be hand carried, have an approximate 4 inch screen, be battery operated (and AC), run at least a 400MHZ CPU, have an ethernet port, at least 3 USB ports (mouse,keyboard,one other), must run windows XP. What is the name of this certain computer part, and where can I obtain one? My parents bought an Acer Aspire 5315 Notebook for me a few months ago. After having it for a few months, my hard drive broke, so I contacted the company. I sent in the hard drive to get a free replacement. When I removed the hard drive, I also removed a rectangular, three-sided metalic piece that screws into the hard drive and laptop itself and sent it in with the hard drive. When I got the new hard drive, this metalic piece was gone. I've contacted Acer multiple times to try to get a replacement, but no one seems to know what I am talking about when I describe the metalic piece. Does anyone know what that rectangular, three-sided metalic piece is called? Does it even really have a technical name? I wasn't sure if knowing the technical name would help me obtain one from Acer or somewhere else. That leads to my next question. What's the Difference Between a 128mb nVidia Video Card and a 383mb? I'm thinking of buying a new Media Notebook (to be specific, a Dell Inspiron 1520 and HP dv6500t) and want a nVidia Video Card. my phone jack inside my computer is not responding? the part where you plug the telephone cord into the computer is not responding...I have a compaq notebook pc and it was working fine before now it is not working at all but the ethernet plug is doing just fine...How do I fix this problem and is it something I can do manually. also how do i delete programs that the add/delete wont get rid of. I tried going to the registry but my computer doesnt recognize the command..please help

how do i know if my notebook is overheating? i got a new sony laptop for christmas its a vgn-fz21m its a great computer and i really want to take care of it so i would like to know a few things one is that is it normal for it to just restart it self if its been say doing a download for a long spell but it doent seem to be all that hot.2 is there any kind of program i can find on line that will tell me the exact temp of the notebook and be able to alert me if and part of the notebook is getting to hot i hope i said all this properly thanks well i use it a most of all when im in bed so its sitting on top of my blanket i am a fanatic tho about keeping the vent on the left side open and free thats where the most hot air comes out of it but there are more vents under it that are blocked when i use it well its a brand new sony and im sure its under warrenty for the next 2 years and i installed a game called world of war craft and the program i just downloaded called fanspeed said that the computer went up 120f see im not sure what the normale temps are and when i should be afraid the game i put on here works a hell of a lot better then it did on my desktop
