Where can I find LG notebook parts in Toronto? My cats chewed my power adaptor and now it only works sporadically. I need my computer for work so I am wondering if there are any stores in Toronto that sell LG notebook parts? I have a feeling that the universal adaptors sold at Futureshop will not have an adaptor for LG since its sort of a fringe notebook manufacturer. The alternative is to wait for LG to send me another one, which could take a while. Thanks.

Is it possible to make a notebook pc using desktop parts? Alright, I cannot find a PC on the market with the spec's I need for a good price. So I went out and found the parts from resalers, and it come's to roughly 1800 for the basics. (Core i7, Corsair, Nvidia 9800 GTX+). Now, I have found similar specs in notebook pc's (Alienware, Dell, Sager, Falcon NW, etc.), but those rack up between four and ten thousand dollars. Definitely out of spending range. So, how would I go around making a notebook pc then? I do imagine I may need to make my own chassis, but is there any advice that can be given doing this? EDIT: I know that the part's are not the same size, that's why I meant by making a custom chassis. you know, a 21" or larger perhaps. I know this sounds unethical, but I have limited space. So what I meant was is it possible to make a custom chassis to hold the larger parts, and make your own notebook with it. Why Fujitsu Notebook computer has leakage AC~17Volts through the exposed metal part when connected to wall AC? Whenever I used my subject notebook computer, I can feel the biting sensation whenever my skin touches the exposed part where current is leaking from such as metal nuts, casing edges etc. Thus, I measured those little parts with my multimeter which showed ~17V AC live on those points. I am taking chem 101 this semester, and for my first prelab assignment I have to put specfic information onto the lab notebook, which is divided in the middle by a line. How can I easily remove lines from scanned notebook paper in Photoshop 7? I'm a scatterbrain and lose things easily, so as part of a quest to stay organized I am planning to scan tons of notebook paper pages with blue lines. The blue lines scan to a fairly dark color and are especially obnoxious because it is graph paper, not horizontal-ruled paper, that I am scanning. The file size of the scanned images is HUGE, even after I reduce the resolution and convert to gray scale. I think part of this is due to the stray flecks of color, as well as the lines, which don't scan nice and cleanly, but instead scan irregularly, which leads to a large jpg size (I'm saving in jpg format, not zip, because zip seemed to create even larger files). I tried scanning directly into Acrobat 5, but ended up with a 16MB file instead of a 4.5MB file when I combined 3 pages that are supposed to be a single file. Any ideas? I am surprised because PDFs usually have a small file size, but these are coming up as between 0.5 and 1MB each. I am using a CanoScan LiDE 60 scanner.

My notebook (Toshiba Satellite L100-194) shutdown without any warning & HDD or CPU makes noises? I have an L100-194 notebook, which was really good. I have two main problems. First, the HDD (or the CPU, I don't know) makes interesting noises. It likes "screaming". It occurs at least once in every hour. Just half or one second long and loud. The other thing is when my computer shutdown without any warning.Shutdown. No signs, no screens. It occurs in Ubuntu and in XP too. I hope someone can help me. But I think I have to go back to the store where I bought it. Someone told me that the problem maybe overheating related. If the temp rises to a critical level then the notebook shut downs to prevent the hardware from the damage. Possibly the cooling modules don’t work correctly and cannot cool the notebooks parts properly. Possibly the strange noise comes from the cooling module and the ventilators don’t work as should. What do yout think?

Can This Be Fixed or Should I Buy a New Notebook? I have an eMachines M6805 model notebook that I bought about two years ago.
