I have a gateway laptop that is fully connected to the internet, but none of the browsers will load any pages.? I have tried several different browsers (ie, firefox) and none of them were able to load any pages. I have tried running a system restore and doen a disk cleanup, none of which has solved the problem. Please help me because i have tried calling gateway support and they were no help at all.
I changed my OS of my Gateway ML 6232 laptop and my sound driver isn't there anymore. Help? I went to gateway support and all they only have vista sound drivers and it isn't compatible with xp

Gateway NV53A Notebook Please Help? Just reinstalled Windows 7 on my laptop and the driver for wireless internet (network adapter driver) is missing. At first so was the LAN driver but i fixed that. But none of the drivers from the gateway support site are working. What do i do
Help with gateway desktop computer? My computer's device manager has yellow question marks by -ethernet controller -pci simple communications controller -sm bus controller -video controller how can i reinstall them? the recovery cd is letting me do it. I'm on a gateway labtop right now. Also is there any way I can download it on here and then burn it to the desktop so it can work. Gateway support isn't helping me. Should i just bring it to comp usa and pay $99 for them to fix it. PLEASE HELP!!!! when i delete it and then reboot it, it is saying i need to use the internet to install them again. BUT THERE IS NO INTERENT ON THE DESKTOP how do i know what ethernet controller I need to get? my computer model on gateway doesn't have any ethernet downloads listed
Gateway Profile 3 Memory Upgrade? one of my relatives has a Gateway Profile 3 computer that he is trying to put some additional memory in. http://support.gateway.com/support/manlib/Profile/Profile3/8508183/8508183.htm He got one 512MB PC133 SDRAM but it is only showing 256MB available. he can live without the other 256MB if there is a hardware limitation of only 256MB per slot. The main thing, though, is he gets a warning/error when he boots about the system memory running at 100MHz and the physical ram being 133MHz (I don't have the exact error text). The computer still boots and works ok, but this is a keyboard response that needs taken every time he boots. Does anyone know how we can remove this message, since from the specs and support at Gateway we should be able to use PC133 in the computer? Gateway support hasn't been much help. I think it is AMI Bios version 2.01a
Webcam help for Gateway? My webcam, which is built-in, just all of a sudden quit working one day and I've been trying to fix it. I've done everything from the gateway support site and it still doesn't work. I've also tried disabling then enabling, uninstalling then reinstalling, but nothing seems to work. Can anybody help me? And NO STUPID REMARKS. Please make the answer legit and easy to follow. Thanks :)

How do I stop my computer from freezing!? PLEASE HELP! I just got a new job which requires me to have 24 hour computer access and all of a sudden my Gateway laptop which has windows vista keeps freezing up for no reason! I have tried 15 restarts AND shut downs and have even tried system restore and nothing seems to be working! Just when it seems like all is well it freezes on me. And no, gateway support did not help. Gateway GT4016 computer not starting and needs a system board.? I was in contact with Gateway and they said that I needed to purchase a KTBC51G system board. I did. When I went to replace the part, KTBC51G LF was on the system board. I am assuming these are two different system boards but needed to know from an expert (not gateway support-they know nothing!). I still switched out the system boards and this issue has not been resolved. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! It sounds like it is starting up just fine. No beeps. I did notice since changing mobo that the light under the power button blinks 3 times amber then stops blinking. I really appreciate the help!
downgrade to windows xp from windows vista using gateway model gt5662? I have a gateway computer model # GT5662. I bought this computer about one and half yrs ago from HSN. I called the HSN support, MIcrosoft support, Gateway support. Noone helped me. They are always helpful, cheerful, ready to help when you are still not a customer:(..the moment you buy a system, you are last in the line to wait. This computer came with windows vista OS. I have always had problems with this system. Browsers are always frozen mostly. Dint have time to fix it till today. Can someone give me a step by step on how to downgrade to windows XP home edition(I own a licensed version). Let me know if I need to download or burn all drivers in a disc. I have seen online that after the downgrade is complete, there is usually some issues with the sound card. Dont want to end up having the same issue. Hence need the step by step instructions. Gateway laptop mx8739 needs audio, video, ethernet, wireless, modem, drivers for windows xp home edition? this laptop originally came with windows vista home premium 32 bit op, 1gb ram, cpu is a dual core intel t2080 running at 1.73ghz, 1.73 ghz The windows vista runs like a dog with only 1gb ram. and i would like to be able to do a fresh install of windows xp home or premium and need the drivers for everything. Has anyone been successful in doing this? Gateway support says "NO" and will only give drivers for vista (which came with the restore discs which i had to burn myself which was the first thing i done with this laptop). Can someone PLEASE HELP me?
I bought my Gateway notebook computer from Best Buy, does anyone know where i can find the serial number? I purchased my computer about 3 years ago from Best Buy, the sticker on the bottom has rubbed off and I've tried several computer programs such as Belarc, Everest, etc to try to obtain my serial number and none of them work. My model is MT6451. Gateway customer service won't help me without my serial #. On a side note: the reason I need Gateway support is b/c my computer keeps giving me an error that my version of Windows Vista is not genuine (when i bought the computer, it already had Vista pre-installed on it). I've tried everything from trying to activate Vista, doing a system restore, and nothing is resolving the issue. I don't want my computer to shut down on me. If anybody knows how to fix the Vista issue, then the help is greatly appreciated also.

No sound is coming out of my gateway Laptop!! help!!? When i reformatted my laptop I installed a realtek ac97 audio sound card for my audio but it does'nt work, i guess it was'nt compatible with the laptop so i downloaded a sound drive from the gateway support, the AC-link conexant audio, i knew it was the right drive but when i installed it , it was always failed.. what do you think are there conflicts with the realtek and ac-link.. so should i uninstall first realtek and then install ac-link? i need answers please help!!
I am trying to burn a movie to a cd with a Gateway ....Help!!!!? I have a Gateway INtel 4, it say I have a DVD/CD-RW Drive(E:) under devices with removeavle storage. I downloaded a burn program , and have tried for two days to transfer a movie to a dvd+R 8x disc. The problem says I don't have a disc in the drive,so I All I can come up with is Copy to a CD, but I can't get access to Drive E.......I haven't found my computer book yet to see how to get Drive E to work and it's the only choice it gives me for burning a dvd. Can you help me? I called Gateway support and it said they filed bankruptcy and I couldn't get technical help from them. I need help with reinstalling my gateway T-1625 operating system.? I've reinstalled it before and I ended up having to take it to Best Buy to have the geek squad install my drivers. I want to reinstall it to factory settings, as in taking everything (literally) off of my hard drive and then having to reset all my settings. I know this sounds weird but when it comes to my computer I have OCD. The main problem I have is that I can't get my internet to reinstall so I can't go to gateways support website and reinstall the drivers. I thought that maybe if I saved the internet driver on a floppy disk that after the re installation I would be able to reinstall the driver and get the rest of the drivers from gateways support website. P.S. The computer only came with one operating system disk. It is a Microsoft Windows Vesta Home Premium 32-bit disk. It does not have a bundle feature or anything of that sort. Wow burning the drivers onto a CD sounds much better. Now if someone could just tell me how...
Ive been trying to restore my Gateway M-6750 to its factory settings however the directions given dont work.? I talked to gateway customer support and was given this link: http://support.gateway.com/s/software/microsof/Vista/7515910/7515910su12.shtml# But when I follow the steps by pressing ALT-F-10 it takes me to the main boot menu, which is basically the same thing as hitting F-2, which isn't what I want. If anyone could provide some help it would be greatly appreciated!
!! GATEWAY TECH SUPPORT WON'T HELP ME!, I need the sound driver for a Gateway Laptop P-6822 for XP. Sigmatel I tried Intel's, Gateway's, everybody's drivers, none of them will install on my P-6822. I it is not a very common model at this point, but I am really dissapointed about Gateway's Tech Support, first they treated me like a thief because the serial number on my NEW laptop didn't show up on their database, and second, because the Laptop came up with that slow Windows Vista OS, which does'nt run smooth like XP not even in my 1.5ghz Core2Duo 2Gb Ram laptop...it takes like 5 minutoes just to load the startup screen!!! So finally I decided to get back everything to XP, and the computer run amazing!!, but I am unable to get the sound driver specifically to work, I've got everything else from manufacturer's site directly, but Sigmatel, IDT nor Gateway will give me tech support for this new chipset under XP!!! DOWN OLIGOPOLY!

It has recently crashed, due to who knows what (I haven't even gone on the internet with it yet!). I spent a large sum of money on this computer and it took a lot of saving. I am told I have a "email file association issue" how do I fix this? when I try to download a file I get this security window that gives me the option to allow or not another software program in my computer that wants to open the file, if I allow it takes me to my canon program and of course that doesn't work for email attachments. I've called my ISP provider, Canon support, Gateway support, Webroot support, and none will help with this issue, can anyone help?
What is an Express Card reader? ? I have a Gateway M-Series laptop. I was reading some of the literature that came with it, and it said that my laptop has an Express Card reader built in. However, it doesn't say what this is used for. What is an Express Card reader? What is it used for? What can I do with it? Need to install Windows XP on a Gateway WinVista laptop. But the xp install disc can't find the hdrive. Help? The laptop is a Gateway MT6707. Ok, the reason for this is because most of my devices (midi controllers, and soundcards) doesn't have any available drivers for Vista. My last resort is to reformat and just to install win xp. The problem though, is that the hard disk is SATA, and booting up from the winxp installation disc can't seem to recognize it. I found a driver for the hard drive, but it seems to be designed only if you are in a WinXP WinVista shell. http://support.gateway.com/support/drivers/search.asp?ref=step&st=browse&platform=10022&model=11053&os=10406&type=10093 I've read a topic here in answers that I need to press F6 during the XP installation to point the installation program to a floppy that contains the drivers. I upgraded my windows 2000 to Xp and now when I play a movie/song/anything my speakers make a static sound.? I will put on a song and it would make a loud static sound all the way through the song, Plus if a song isn't on and I put my headphones on, I will hear none thing but static. Now I went through gateway support and downloaded the "Soundcard-thing" for Xp since I had the one from my windows 2000, and still it happens. One other thing when I put on any song and it happens I keep trying different songs/movies till the sound go away then it's ok for a bit. If I keep pressing movies and the loud sound disappear the movie plays perfectly - where I could still hear low static through my songs all the time. What can I do?????? Help Please
I recently had to reboot my Gateway MX6436 laptop computer, now the modem driver isn't working.? My computer won't recognize the modem driver! I've done some research and lots of people have had this issue. I managed to fix the sound driver (it wasn't working either), but the modem is undetectable! Has anyone else had this issue? I have a Gateway Laptop and on the bottom of my Laptop it says "Model: SA6" and the S/N number they gave me on the bottom is only 11 characters when it should be 13 characters. why my computer won't shut down? its a gateway 500x RETAIL, i installed a fresh copy of windows XP pro. but when i try to shut down it goes through the normal process but it restarts again, i though i had some errors in my system that's why i reinstalled windows but no luck whatsoever plus i can't find drivers for the audio and gateway support really sucks! also i tried to update the BIOS but it won't update HELP PLEASE!

speakers problem "no audio output device installed:? Hello, I have a Gateway NV series notebook and my speakers quit working for some reason. When I run my mouse over the little speaker in the bottom right it says "no audio output device installed." I tried to d/l an updated driver but said I had the newest driver. I tired to get on Gateway support but I can't get anywhere without my serial number(which is rubbed off)...HELP Thanks
View Mng. Error screen.. please help? I had a View mng. error screen pop up, it requested that i send an error report, which i did. And now i cannot view any images on my computer, thumbnails, avatars, what have you. in place of the images is a box with shapes in it, triangle square. and circle. Gateway support team said to go to restore to earlier date, which my computer said there werent any restore points, and i could pan to an earlier month.. what can i do. Please dont say i have to reformat..
What happened? Can it be restored?? Okay, I feel like a total idiot! I don't know what happened, but when I tried to turn on my computer, it said that Windows did not install properly. So I called Gateway support and they told me to put in the Operating System disk. The rep said it would restore things back to the way they were.. but it brought me back to the way things were before we added programs and downloaded pictures... and so on. My question is, is there any way for me to get things back? Pictures and stuff? Sorry I am not being very specific, but I don't know much about computers...apparently. Any help would be appreciated. And please no smart-a$$ comments. I've already admitted to being computer illiterate. Thanks
Gateway mx6421 setup did not find any hard disk drives installed, help? Hi, I have a Gateway mx6421 and I am trying to install windows XP on it. The hard drive is wiped but when I try to install the disc the message "Set up did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer" comes up. I have tried to slipstream the Sata controller drivers on a winXP disc but when I go to the website I do not see the drivers for it! Here is the Gateway website-- http://support.gateway.com/support/drivers/search.asp?st=pn¶m=5956 I attempted to install the Motherboard drivers but before I wiped the hard drive it said that it did not have an AMD processor so it could not install the drivers, it has an intel processor and I couldn't find the drivers for that one either. So please help me. How can I install windows XP if I can not find the sata drivers to slipstream onto a new XP disk? Thanks
Gateway desktop will not boot past the BIOS screen. HELP!? The gateway splash screen shows on the computer, but it will not get past that. I tried pressing F1 quickly to get to the BIOS menu, and that didn't work. Next, I pressed F10 (that's the boot menu), and it wouldn't go to that either. It won't boot from my XP disc either. Gateway will not help because our warranty is expired, but they did say to try some troubleshooting with some jumper leads. Help restoring a Gateway MX6625 Notebook with no "Utilities and Drivers" disk.? After four years, I've had to wipe the hard drive and reinstall XP to my notebook computer. Everything was going along fine and then the reinstallation process told me to insert the "Utilities and Drivers" disk. I do not have this disk. I cannot get the computer on the internet at all. The device manager says the driver for the ethernet adapter is not installed. I cannot find a copy of this adapter anywhere on Gateway's site. The device manager doesn't even show the wireless LAN adapter, so even if I found a copy of that driver and burned it to a disk, I have no idea how to install it without seeing the device in device manager. M275 gateway tablet computer formatted need drives to connect on a network!? I got a laptop as a gift with a lot of things on it Ive recently formatted my HDD & re-installed windows xp home edition on to my M275 tablet PC, I didn't back up anything on to Cd's just wanted a fresh start. I lost my Ethernet controller, and Network controller along with sound and much more. but I was just concerned about my computer not being able to hook up to the internet to find drives, I've gone to gateway and downloaded some of the drivers onto my other PC transferred files to the laptop mostly hit and miss. I few but nothing Solid that can recognize what my computer has please help! I have a Gateway GT5449E: What does the cable that is connected to the 1st IEEE- 1394a connector go to? I am trying to replace my burnt out motherboard, but I didn't get a duplicate from Gateway, I got an ASUS P5QPL-AM, as it was the only one the salesman at Fry's said I could get. I lost 2 slots for more memory, and the sound is only 3 instead of 6, though not sure what that meant totally. But he assured me that this would be the one to get, as it was the only one they even sold that would work with the CPU I had. I've spent the last 4 hours trying to get everything connected right. I even took photos of each connection as I disconnected it from the old motherboard so I would not have issues when I re-connected. But alas, I have had problems. I was able to figure everything out but this one cord I have. It hooked up to the 1st IEEE- 1394a connector, but there is no pin set up on the new motherboard to match. The writing on the cord doesn't really tell me, it talks about volts or speed or something, unlike the other cord that says it's the USB cord. I hope that someone can help me. I have been going nuts looking it up online and the only thing I could find was this: http://support.gateway.com/s/MOTHERBD/Intel2/4006160R/4006160Rmv.shtml that shows what the "N" slot IS, but not what cord is hooked up to it. Even the manuals for hardware on Gateway don't say what cord is plugged in there. When I follow the cord backwards, it seems to hook up to the front of the machine, but it's hard to see as it's between two drives. The only way to know for sure would be to totally take it apart, and I don't want to have to do that if I don't have to. I also found this: http://usa.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=08c0CULpvP1ZM9kT for the new motherboard, but like I said, I can't seem to find something that the chip set will fit to. The only available one that I saw, the pins don't match and then I found out it was for "P", or at least the two cords that were plugged into "P" on the old board. Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to give me! :) I just found out part of the answer... I finally saw online that an IEEE 1394 is a high speed usb type port/cable, so that cable should connect to something like that in front... Not sure what yet, but if all it is is a USB port can I use one of the USB connections so I can at least use the front connections? Needless to say, I'm really mad at the guy at Fry's. He talked down to me to begin with, then tried to talk "big", treating me like I should know this stuff if I was even buying it rather then having someone there figure it out in their stupid service shop.... Might have to just take this motherboard back and get one from Gateway for the extra $$$.... need all my USB ports I have. LOL
NETWORK CONTROLLER FOR Gateway 450ROG Notebook? Been scouting around for a wireless network controller for my Notebook, and my search has yielded no positive results yet. gateway mx6426 power problem! help please!? Okay. So my laptop is 4 years old and it has a problem. Recently the AC (charger cord) has been loose and it keeps flickering back and forth between charging and not charging until i get it in the right position. Now it is just completely dead. My computer is dead and wont charge. I want to know what the solution you think could be. 1. My motherboard has a faulty plug (where the AC plugs into the hole) 2. My battery is dead and i need to buy a new one. 3. My AC charging cord is broken. Which of the three do you think is wrong? Help doing the Gateway Full System Restore? I need to get my computer in a Factory Condition, I have the Restore Disk. The screen is black and it displays in white words GATEWAY and at the bottom it says "PLEASE WAIT..." i have been waiting for about 30 minutes and it is not taking me to step 7. The mouse moves so i dont think it is frozen. Can someone help me advance to the next step? What can i try?

Help with recovering a driver for Gateway GT5404 desktop? I have a Gateway GT5404 deskyop...I uninstalled Vista a while ago and installed XP Home Professional. I have mistakenly deleted the modem driver "PCI Simple Communication Driver"...I was referring to this as a solution: http://support.gateway.com/s/issues/2-2408194883.shtml ..problem is, I'm not able to pull up in a search "Gateway Recovery Center" window. ..when I try to repair/reinstall the driver via Device Manager, it routs me through the Hardware Wizard and prompt me to search online (which I naturally cannot do or prompt me for a local location for the drivers, which I also do not have). Sigh Any suggestions? Even tho I switched OS's to XP, there still is an H: recovery partition, where I thought the driver may be but I cannot seem to access it. (sigh again) anyone w/ more tech savvy than myself able to direct me? Possible to DL from another computer to a flash drive then use that? I'm stumped, and all I have is the little yellow splat in the device manager that tells me the driver is gobe. ANY help appreciated

Does Gateway 5200S desktop have the recovery application on it's hard drive? I'm trying to get my aunt's computer up and running and she does not have a recovery disk. From what I have been able to tell, no disk shipped with the computer. I think there is an application on the hard disk itself to clean it off and do a reinstall of the drivers and the OS; it's running XP home. However after I hit F11 it asks me to insert a disc. The ONLY disc I did receive says" Gateway Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 Operating System Disc" however once I place that disc in it only reaches 18% and either the computer will shut down uexpectingly or it says certain files need to be aborted or retried. Upon clicking retry I get the same message. When I click abort I am given an option to either start from all over again (which I have done SEVERAL times) or restart (which restarts the computer). I do not know what I can do to fix this. I can not afford to pay gateway or geek squad $200. I was told I have a virus/spyware/malware or something like that on my computer and I've down scans on the drivers, virus scans, system restore and although they say it's gone it is not. Microsoft has assisted me however they are lost as well. (They told me to hit f10 and pick option 2 but I do not have an option 2) just 1, 3, 4 My computer keeps shutting down and gives me a blue screen with white writing I can not read. I would like to preform a system recovery since I have everything backed up. I just want my computer back. =( I've bee dealing with this for over a week and really need some help and hope please =(

My Gateway keeps going to a gray screen? Clean Install of Windows Vista, Gateway GM5664, BIOS.. ugh help!? I have a Gateway Model GM5664. I'm not sure what I did to mess it up but it's basically taking 10 minutes to load to the login screen and it randomly locks up during usage for anywhere between 10seconds to a few minutes. Anyway, I am trying to reinstall the operating system off the CD that I got like I used to on my XP laptop, however, its a Vista and a desktop. I've been up all night trying to figure it out and I've learned that you need to go into the BIOS options and change the Boot Sequence priorities so that it prompts y ou to press a key to boot from cds/dvds. I guess I'm doing it wrong.. :( can someone help??? All I want is to clean up my less than a year old PC and start over! @marsulein- just tried that and it didnt work (it was f10 for gateway to get to cdrom shortcut bootmenu) i'd select cdrom and then it would just load vista normally :( Well I was just on the phone with a Gateway technician and basically the files that I need to reinstall windows vista and reformat are one of the partitions and not on the CD-Rom. She told me because it is a software issue and not a hardware issue it is not under warranty I only had 90 days for them to help me do it for free. Now they want $35 to help me do it over the phone. If the files are on the computer does anyone know how I am supposed to do this, or if there is anywhere on the Gateway tech support website where I can see how to do this?? I am so lost.
What kind of RAM should I buy? I really need help. I'm trying to fix up an old Gateway Essential 500 - Windows 98 computer for a friend who doesn't have a computer. when i got my computer i had dolby soundroom, now i don't what do i do? basically, when i first got my gateway fxp7915u, i had dolby soundroom preinstalled. However, I had to reinstall windows 7 using recovery disks due to a wifi adapter issue in first installation. The second time, after i finished installing os and drivers/apps cd, everything worked fine except dolby soundroom. Why is this? I need to know which drivers I should use for my laptop.? Now, I have a Gateway MT6704 notebook laptop. It was pretty good, but the hard-drive crashed, well... hard. So I buys me a new, blank one, and since I just loved XP so much more than the Vista that came with it, I wanted to install XP. Lo and behold, the joker of a salesman cunningly sold me a SATA hard drive, which all you techies out there know doesn't even recognize XP because it's a chump drive in that sense. I know exactly what to do, how to slipstream this onto a copied XP disk and burn an image onto a data disk, but I don't know which drivers I need to use. The stupid drivers package I downloaded from their site comes with 20349830984 (exaggeration) different drivers, which blew my mind. Any help? Gateway support sucks, I know more about computers than the joker helping me. I also installed the HDD properly, with the aid of an IT Note: My laptop HDD is totally blank, no OS or anything. Note: 16k-zx81, those were the drivers I did download from the website, except I don't know which to use. I tried all of them, and then the ones that ended in XP, and then the exact file I saw in a screenshot of someone from softpedia that did it.
PC Error Message. Reboot and Select proper Boot device....? ............or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key. I have not added any knew hardward or software. I shut my computer down one night and the next morning recieved this message. Nothing is unplugged and there isn't a CD in the CD Drive. No power outages have happened either. I have a Gateway LX series but that is all I know since I don't have the box or manual and the PC won't start up to get more information. Customer service support for Gateway computers? Please read my question, “What has happened to Gateway products and support? I noticed others were unhappy with Gateway support and products. Any others? You would think for the price you pay the service would be better. I can’t deal with being on the telephone or on –line for hours just to reach customer service or technical support. I can’t deal with people I can not even understand. I don’t want a Tech who tells me to mail in my laptop or desktop as a means of resolving technical issues. I can’t let go of my computer for several weeks because Gateway stopped using a local contractor for minor repairs and service.

Anyone ever used Gateway fee based support? I opened up a chat support session on gateway because my laptop screen is flickering (almost like it is not reading the ac adapter). The charge light comes off and on and the screen turns dim and bright as if I am plugging and unplugging it over and over. On top of that, the touch mouse pad seems to be haywire. The tech person only wanted me to use the fee based support. Is it worth it? Will they charge an outrageous amount and take longer to fix it since they charge by the amount of time? Anyone ever had a positive/negative experience?

Does anyone who has dealt with Gateway know the direct number for their "level 2" customer support aka "service operations" or speaking to a "supervisor"? In order to access "Level 2" and wait for an hour for someone to pick up, I have to first contact "Level 1" at a 408 area code. It would be nice if I could bypass the "Level 1" and save some time in the process. I gave up on the phone tonight waiting for Level 2, and called back after 9pm Eastern time only to find that Gateway's Level 2 closes at 7pm Mountain time. Ugh!!! For xbox live my ip address fails. the xbox can pull up the ip address and subnet mask but no gateway. Help? I have tried with both a router connection and a a direct modem connection. Either way I only get the ip address and subnet mask and no gateway. the xbox support call in line is worthless.

I need help indentifying this gateway computer? My parents got it from Rentway back in 2002-2003. The tower had a black stand on it, and you could set it up or set your monitor on top of it. Help with a Gateway 450ROG notebook? I need to get a HDD for this computer. Once i bought a 120GB seagate but when i tried to install the OS it said it did not detect the HDD. It is running windows XP. I have been told that there are no size caps with HDD. However, this gateway webpage seems to disagree. (http://support.gateway.com/s/Mobile/SHARED/2900728su4.shtml). Does this page mean it cannot hold over 80Gb or is that just the largest shipped. If there is a cap (which with XP i have been told there isn't) is there a way I can get around it?
I have a major computer problem and need help fast?
