The problem is i dont have the disc that itt asks for and when i hit safe mode or f8 etc. it just brings me back to that screen with the message after the computer seems to be loading up. Is there a way to prevent a Windows XP Home computer from stopping "unsafe" hardware/software installation? I have an HP with Windows XP-Home. After I use HP System Recovery, my computer is forced to re-recognize all of its installed hardware and reinstall it as soon as I start my computer up for the "first time". Unfortunately, afterward I am always bugged by Windows Logo Testing, even if the hardware/software has already passed this testing for production. The only real problem is when Windows tell me that I "Can not install this software because it hasn't passed testing". It's my computer, I'm installing the software because I trust it and I want to, and it's none of Microsoft's business. How do I stop this foolishness?
