What is so good about the Asus ROG Motherboards? In benchmarks, their performance is identical, give or take a few negligible points, to the mainstream Intel and Asus motherboards that cost around $150. So you're basically paying more for the looks, and a better built motherboard. But the end, it just performs the same. What do you think?
What is the difference between these ASUS motherboards? What are the functionality differences between the ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN 3 and the ASUS P8Z68-V GEN3? Does the PRO specification offer any superior functionality benefits that are worth the extra expense of the PRO version? Thanks.
Is there a updated max on Asus motherboards. I have a asus M2N-sli motherboard and i was wandering if i can run ddr3ram or any ram past ddr800? Its also AM2+ and where i got it the max was x2, but the asus site said it will run Phenom. is this true with ram too?
Is there a factory reset for Asus motherboards? When I try to start my Asus up, it will start, but when it comes to getting windows to come on, then the screen goes blank... same as when I hook it up to my TV. Also the little red light on the front lights up. in any case, I know for DELL computers on start up you can press ctrl f11 (or f8 i forget) to start the factory reset... is there anything similar I can do with the Asus?
Are Gigabyte manufactured GPUs compatible with Asus motherboards? I know this is a rather idiotic question to ask, and I am sufficiently aware of the theoretical answer. Yet this is the last variable I have to eliminate in my desire to procure a Gigabyte GTX 590 and I do not want to consign myself to a purchase that will not culminate in a successfully operating PC. I would greatly appreciate any help that could be provided.
What is a good overclocking software for ASUS motherboards? I have tried looking through the BIOS of an ASUStek Socket 775 i945P P5LP-LE mobo, but I couldn't find the same setup as the interfaces I saw in tutorials. My BIOS is Phoenix AWARDBios v6, by the way. So is there any good (safe!) software for overclocking one? sgtfgdfgdfghdghg Also it is an intel CPU
Which recent ASUS motherboards can use DDR2 PC 3200 memory? I want a moderately-priced and currently available ASUS ATX or micro-ATX motherboard that can use this memory. What are my options? I've tried searching, but can't seem to find 'em listed by memory types. To clarify, I do mean DDR2, PC2-3200, 240-Pin memory. I know it's unusual to start looking for a motherboard by memory type, but I already have the memory and am looking for a way to use it. I'm not shooting to build a cutting-edge machine, BTW, just an upgrade from the "utility" computer I'm currently using.
Can someone help with ASUS motherboards please? Can someone tell me if there's any point investing in an ASUS M4A89TD PRO motherboard instead of an ASUS M4A79XTD motherboard, because obviously the latter is not as good as the first one because of the price difference, but I'll be running an AMD Phenom II X4 945 and an ATI Radeon HD 5750 1gb on whichever I decide to buy :S
asus motherboards within 6k? I ve choose an amd phenom 1090t processor for various reasons. pls someone suggest me an asus motherboards within 6k. my purpose is gaming and performance.
new asus motherboards with P35 chipset? the new performance line of asus motherboards look incredibly hot and have a ton of features. However i am debating between buying a P5E3 Deluxe/WiFi-AP@n, the energy-saving one, and Asus P5K3 Deluxe WiFi-AP, the performanve one. They seem to have the same features and names, but why is the P5E version 100 dollars more?
asus motherboards help please? Whats the different between the asus sabretooth p67 and the p8z68 motherboards? im having to decided between these what would you recommend and why
Help comparing 2 Asus motherboards, please - socket 939? I'm looking to replace a socket 939 motherboard in a friend's computer and these two on ebay look like the best two on offer. However, I'm unclear on the merits of each. In some ways it looks like one is better and in other ways the other looks better. I *could* take the time to learn everything I need to know to select a good motherboard but I'd rather just get advice so we can get on with it - they're kind of desperate since none of their computers are being very co-operative at the moment and this one looks like being the easiest to sort out. The dead motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 and says nothing about Rev anything so I assume it's one of the first ones they did. They need SATA and IDE, have a video card and plenty of USB. It's an AMD Athlon 64 CPU but I can't give you exact details on that because I forgot to check while I was there and my friends don't know what they're looking for. The two options for replacing it with: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ASUS-A8V-VM-Socket-939-Micro-ATX-Mortherboard-New-/270969942474?pt=AU_Components&hash=item3f171131ca Specs at Asus: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_Socket_939/A8VVM/ and http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ASUS-A8V-E-SE-Socket-939-Mortherboard-New-/280874981709?pt=AU_Components&hash=item416574194d Specs at Asus: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_Socket_939/A8VE_SE/ If anyone thinks I have the wrong pages at Asus, please correct me. Thanks, people. Forgot to mention, they do a fair bit with photographs and music. One of the family is a music student at university level and another is a photographer. Thanks for your response, AJ but we're looking at cheaper for right now, not over the long term. They'd love to replace the computer with a new one but they simply can't afford it for a while. Those two motherboards are the only unused ones on ebay that are within their budget so I'd appreciate it if people stick to answering on the relative merits of those boards instead of offering advice on alternate options which simply aren't options in the here and now.
Intel or Asus Motherboards? Hey I was wondering which Rampage by Asus is the best? Please compare all of them, from Rampage I to Rampage III GENE, etc. Also is Intel motherboards better or Asus? I have a feeling Intel is but what would the comparison be with that question too? I have been on both of the websites intel and asus, but really they look similar. I do know Asus is a very good motherboard meant for overclocking but I'm not really into overclocking right now. I was wondering if Intel would be a smarter choice since my processor, chip sets, are Intel, and the more compatible my computer is the better it would be. Although you would barely see a difference. For anyone wondering I have rampage II extreme. Thanks in advance. To Gene, sorry I couldn't really understand what you meant. My chipset is X58 Intel i7.
Asus motherboards? (good/bad-which one?)? I need to choose between the Rampage II Extreme http://usa.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=W7i5W4Pw4fH22Mih&templete=2 or the P6T Deluxe V2 http://usa.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=iRlP8RG9han6saZx&templete=2 The price difference WILL NOT affect my choice. I just want to know which one is better that the other. Also on websites like new egg people wrote reviews saying that these motherboards are unreliable but even more say that they are good? Can i depend on these motherboards? Are the negative people just unlucky?
Asus motherboards help? Hi.I want to do really brutal overclocking to my cpu and wondered which asus motherboard is the best for overclocking. It has to support sli too.Thanks.Dual core or quad core.

Do People usually have problems with Asus Motherboards? I bought a asus m3n78-Vm motherboard along with amd duel core 6000+ and corsair 4 gig duel channel 800 mhz memory and It wont stay on for more then 3 seconds. Im not asking for suggestions on what problems I could have because theres to many. But i have narrowed it down to either the motherboard itself or the processor. Anyways my question is, are asus motherboards usually problematic? How often do you guys run into problems with them. Are they reliable. Will they last over 5 years Also if anyone has been to a computer show do you know if they do diagnosing for computers for free. Not including entrance fee. Please and thanks OK first of all I didnt need help from you guys in diagnosing the problem. I have already tryd everything. I have tryd 3 good working psus. I have tryd every ram installation possible. I called asus themselves and said its probably falty. I may however screwed with the cpu by touching the thermal grease. But Many have said it will only affect it in the long run. Anyways I ask if asus is unreliable because my uncle who has had much more experience then me in computer has had much problems with asus. Its good to know once this whole mess with this is solved that I will have this motherboard for awhile. I look forward to the awsome gaming Im gonna do. Sadly most of it will be on the onboard graphics. Which im sure will shorten the life of the motherboard. Well I tryd everything. I thought it was grounding issue but I trying bench testing it as well. Made sure all plugs are right. I double, and triple checked. Its either the motherboard or something I may have done while installing the cpu. I like the deal I got on these products though. I did have to get an after market fan. Because the cpu was 60 bucks. Maybe I should Have invested 30 more into the stock cpu and fan. Instead of 10 for the fan. lol Oh yeah got the motherboard for 75 and memory was 85. Yeah that was expensive. Im hoping its not the motherboard because I purchased it from amazon and i dont feel like exchanging it. But if I do And it doesnt fix the problem then I will know something is wrong with the processor. The thermal paste was pre applied. I did not add nor remove any. the heatsink I purchased was cheap though. 10 bucks. Maybe it just sucks. I have already look at that. That would be the grounding problem I mentioned earlier which I thought it was. Its not

ASUS MOTHERBOARDS (B3 reviewed models????????)? I am going to buy an ASUS P8P67-M PRO REV 3 motherboard tomorrow in order to build my own pc, however I am reading on the ASUS website that there was some sort of issue with them and it is advised that people looking to buy should get the revised B3 version instead however when looking on amazon it is very hard to tell if you are purchasing the b3 version or not as it is unclear on almost every website I go on, the item picture will have the B3 revised box but this may just be a standard image they are using without selling you the revised product?? The ASUS website says that B3 revised should be on the board itself too but images show a b3 box and a board that does not say b3 on it. Sorry question seems a bit stupid but don't want to buy inferior tech that doesn't work. Anyone know how to tell from specs if it is the b3 revised model or a UK website where I cam purchase the b3 revised ASUS P8P67-M PRO REV 3 Thanks in advance TK

Fans and Motherboards: How do they control them? I noticed some ASUS motherboards have a feature to control fan speed; however, the fans in my case only have power connectors that are connected to the power supply. So, how does the motherboard give signals to the fans to speed up or slow down? Also, the motherboard specifies connectors for fans. Does this mean you can plug the fans' power supplies directly into the motherboard and that is how it is controlled?

Please suggest a best motherboard. I am ready to pay any bug!

Asus has some new motherboards that include a feature called Express Gate (their term), named Splashtop by its manufacturer, DeviceVM. This feature is a chip that keeps a basic Linux-based OS on which run a set of basic internet programs: a browser, an IM system, and even Skype, which was designed to run without even booting to Windows (or a full-force, disk-based, Linux-based OS, or whatever). It already has the basic Asus-tailored motherboard drivers for running the onboard sound and network circuits (and onboard video, where applicable). Okay, sounds pretty good for the quick jump onto the web for whatever reason, like sending a quick e-mail or whatever, or if you can't even boot into Windows and have to fix it by getting on the web and only have the one computer to do it with. But here's the QUESTION, now: A review I read about Express Gate/Splashtop said that it couldn't run USB keyboards or mice. Well, with that limitation, then why did Asus make some of the motherboards that have it only to include PS/2 for the keyboard but NOT the mouse? Or, in other words, more quickly: Why would someone make a system that requires certain things to work right, which we can't add ourselves (a PS/2 mouse port--and adding a PS/2-to-USB adapter doesn't count), and then not include all the things that system needs to work right? Will you come back a little later and see my responses to your answers, please? Thanks, Mike Christensen
Where can I buy a parallel port cable for an Asus motherboard? I have an Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe Socket AM2 motherboard with no LPT port on the rear panel. It only has an onboard connector. How do I connect normal front case USB pins to HP Indiana / ASUS P4S-LA Motherboards? I have a eMachine that the motherboard went out on it (I know... save the laughs) and I have a spare HP Indiana board / ASUS P4S-LA board on my shelf and everything is going great with it being a replacement board BUT... the front USB connector pins on the HP board seem propriatory and different from the normal pin layouts of most other boards. Here is a link to veiw this board and what little specs HP gives... http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericDocument?lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&docname=bph07620 Is there a way to make normal 4 pin / 5 pin USB connector cables to work with this HP board pin header? HP doesn't give specs as to which pin is for which voltage wire or I could figure a way out. And no... I'm not looking to spend more money on something else when I have this good working board. I just need help on how to get around this one issue. Thanks As I have noticed in most boards... the USB pin headers are usually 2 rows where 1 row is 4 adjacent pins and the 2nd row is 5 adjacent pins.... PPPP PPPPP P = pin This particular board's USB pin header is 2 rows where both rows are 5 pins each BUT.. both rows of pins are like this... PP (space) PPP PP (space) PPP P = pin I hope this extra info is helpful Also... one of the USB front panel cables goes to a media card reader and the other cable to a single USB port in the front. Plus... I don't believe there is a replacement front panel USB port or media card reader to fit this eMachine case that has the HP pin header configuration of this board. I'm just needing to know if there is a way to make the eMachine front panel connector cables (which are your standard 4 pin / 5 pin type) work on my HP motherboard USB pin header configuration stated above. I'm even willing to cut / seperate to cable into 4 / 5 individual wires but I would need to know which pins are which on the HP board.
Why is my Asus P4S533-MX Motherboard not playing new installed games? Have an Asus P4S533MX motherboard and recently installed new games that will not play for some reason. All other games work except new ones that will not open. Cd with drivers has been installed and was wondering what could be the problem? Do I need to dowload other drivers also? If so, where can I find the drivers. Sound is ok also. No idea what adaptor is. 1000+ games were installed off a cd a friend had. Ram is over 1gb
