Is a hard drive from the gateway M series laptop compatible with the 6000 series laptop? ?

Is a hard drive from the gateway m series compatible with the hard drive for a 6000 series? Is the screen from the m series compatible with the screen from the 6000 series (both are the same measurements)? These are 2 different questions? One about the hardrive. The other is about the screen/display one computer has a cracked screen and I wanted to switch them out. One has a bad hard drive and I wanted to switch that out too. Thanks, Motherboards are the same format and I have the carriage to place it in.

1. by the screen...do you mean the carriage ? carriages may differ but 99% laptops have 2.5 inch HDD so they will interchange ...dependson whether the motherboards are the same format ie SATA or PATA etc go to http://www.gateway.com/systems/category/529598015.php
