HELP! I restored my Gateway Laptop w/ the restore cd now no wireless/sound/..drivers..?

I restored my Gateway mx6000 series laptop with the restore cd(destuctive, full restore)...now there is no sound, wireless, and probably no video as well but I haven't tried yet..What the heck, do I have to find all of these drivers and install them all 1 by 1? I thought that was what the restore cd was for? I even restored again to make sure, and the same problem!

  1. There is usually a separate restore disc provided by gateway that has the drivers and applications that came with the system back when you purchased it. If you cannot find this disc, then yes, you will have to go to gateway's website, track down your system and update drivers as necessary. *edit: Here is the link for Gateway's web service to locate and download your drivers. All you need is the serial number from each respective system. It is usually a white sticker on the side or back of the computer. http://support.gateway.com/support/drivers/dlcenter.asp
