Gateway Parts

Where is the best place to find discounted computer parts?

I'm interested in building my own computer, but I don't have a ton of money to throw around; so I'm looking for a place to buy reliable but low-priced parts

  1. check locally for a shop that deals in new and used
  2. Newegg certainly has the cheapest components you'll find, along with mwave and tigerdirect. Fry's and Bransmart USA are good if you're looking for big box retailers (not available in all areas though).
  3. try your local craigslist in the computers and tech section.
  4. Newegg.com or Tigerdirect.com You can get some decently priced parts and all are under warranty through either newegg (with shipping) and the manufacturer.
  5. newegg, zipzoomfly, frys, mwave, clubit, ewiz, are very reliable, has good pricing.
  6. I would check mwave.com or craigslist.com or newegg.com. craigslist is more of a local area where you post what you have and how much you are selling it for or if you want to trade for it. However, if you are going to make a computer, make sure you buy it from a store or e-store that you can send it back if there are any problems. mwave.com and newegg.com come with warranties. You should always get the items new, used items that are not refurbished do not come with a warranty. good luck
