  1. I know nothing. Wow. but you do....
  2. The FX-62 is old and outdated, as is the nForce 590. Get Core2 Duo on the nForce 680i. It will last you longer and is much faster.
  3. haha I hear ya, just make sure the mobo supports socket am2, and before you spend all that money on the RAM make sure its like 667MHz or higher, also don't buy vista, there are still too many bugs there working out, buy XP or download it from a torrent site...good luck!....
  4. Also get rid of vista, Like the guy before me you should go with intel they are much fast and is newer
  5. I would not get the NVIDIA GeForce 8600GT microsoft has already said its outdated with there planned release a new version directX 10 update. Unless you dont care for directX 10. Im also sure nvidia is going to release new cards to use the full new specs of the new directX 10 update which will happen with in the next 6 months. I would go back to the maybe the geforce 7600 and then buy new card after prices of 8600 or maybe even the GeForce 8800 GTS drop after the new cards come out.
  6. For starters You are actually Purchasing Vista? I really don't even want to know why you would do such a heredous thing. But lets move on to you Hardware. Why did you choose that CPU, did you choose it for FX-62? I mean what aare you goign to do on it, because right now you machine is not a server and is not a gmaing machine it does not really show its purpuse. i mean you could have just chosen the AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ Windsor 2.6GHz, I don't think it would make a huge difference and its very much cheaper. you see i am confused what are you trying to build here? An AMD Opteron 185 Denmark 2.6GHz is a good choice too. (A very popular CPU) or one of the newer black edition AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ 3.2GHz Socket AM2. the mobo is great no chnages there ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe AM2 NVIDIA is a top mobo with many respects inmy opinion, with its very nice cooling system it keeps many gamers happy (yet idk if you are gonna me gaming on this) The RAM too is top of teh line still a gamers choice, so idk i would suggest fot teh hdd two of them, One for the OS and one for storage, this maked life easier but lets you run applications and your OS at better speeds. maybe this one for the OS Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST380815AS 80GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s the hdd there you chose is ok the VID could be the XFX PVT84JUDD3 GeForce 8600GT 256MB you have all of this stuff but no power supply, thats the worst mistake you can ever make. this is a great PS ENERMAX Liberty ELT500AWT ATX12V 500W the case is your choice its a nice looking case with good cooling i think you should see your price range than what you will do than edit this list you shoudl check out pcmech.com their forums are great for suggestions
  7. Well, it's a decent upper mid-range computer system. Nothing bottlenecking the system. What do you plan to use it for? If it's gaming, it's alright. If it's just for typing and internet browsing, it's overkill.
  8. Sure it will work. BUT if it is for gaming, I would consider the AMD X2 6400+ instead; just spend on 2x1Gb RAM and divert the budget for a Geforce 8600GTS ddr3. That 512mb ddr2 is quite SLOW.
