Gateway Parts

Is there a website where I can easily learn which computer hardware parts are best for which purposes?

Like, perhaps something that says 'this amount of whatever is good for x and y, but it's not so good for z.' I don't want a review for every individual product. I just want to know what would be good features to look for, ie. how much memory, processing speed, etc. so I can tell for myself whether or not I should buy something. And before someone assumes that I am too simpleminded to use google before coming here, please, DO NOT TELL ME TO USE GOOGLE.

1. tomshardware.com, they have pretty good review and recommendation on all computer stuffs. To tell what's good and what's bad, and to tell if it's worth the money, you cannot really learn reviews; since every person have different points of view.
