Where can I recycle computer parts?

I have a broken computer power supply and cable, any ideas where/how I can recycle this? I live in East Sussex, UK. Thank you.

1. Most local authorities now have 'recycling centres', where 'junk' is separated into clothes, metal, electrical etc.
2. If anything is still use able you could post it on freecycle. They're in the groups on yahoo.
3. Join freecycle. Go to the site and register for groups in your area. You'd be surprised how 'one man's junk' can be reused/recycled. Help keep the landfills from overflowing!
4. take them to your local computer shop they will dispose of then safely for you
5. Throw it onto the fast lane of the M1 at rush hour
