Buying & Selling Computer Hardware?

Does anyone know where I can buy computer hardware parts so I can start my own business on the internet? Or if not computer hardware, then maybe things I can buy in bulk and make a profit from selling them online.

  1. i buy all my conputer bits on ebuyer, its soo cheap!
  2. Ebay its a little expensive so you have to make lots at it but theres lots of people there which keeps it going
  3. e bay is always a good place to start ...helps you learn the latest hardware/software that is on the market and what is selling well
  4. world wide - use ebay singapore, use auctions.yahoo.com.sg
  5. I think first off you should look at very CHEAP computer parts rather than finding wholesalers. It's a tuff business so establishing contacts with wholesalers would be virtually impossible. Try computers fairs are companies like Scan.co.uk to start stocking up on stuff. :-) Take it from there.............
  6. I started out buying bits from ebay then found it easier and sometimes cheaper to pop into Maplin Electronics and buy direct - check out on the specials like motherboard and processor bundles. Be careful though, sometimes the cheap deals are on the brink of bein superseded.
  7. If you ave your business up and running then there is a trade mag called ECM (I think). It has a section called Pink Pages which is basically a directory of people selling components to trade. You won't be able to get the mag unless you can prove you're in the business. Failing that try Micro Mart. You could also pop down to your local Computer Fair and ask about. See who people are buying from by looking at labels on boxes. Some of the guys there would probably sell to you at trade prices as well. Good luck - I thought about starting this myself a few years back, but chickened out in the end.
  8. Try www.ebuyer.co.uk I buy my parts from them weekly offers
  9. Same answer, forget it you haven't done the research needed to do such a thing.
  10. do a search for wholesale suppliers or bulk suppliers http://www.firscall.co.uk/computer-components-suppliers.asp Most use far east imports to resell on ebay...but you need to a) have good trustworthy contacts and/or b)visit Far East
  11. Visit the Manufactures website of the produts you want to sell for example ASUS then look under distributors get the phone number or email of the UK distributor tell them you are starting a business and would like to reatial their componetnts. As long as you buy enough to warrent being a business rather than someone who just want s 1 motherboard with one graphics card etc (obviously an individual who wants to buy trade). Also approach the BIG boys, they will get alot more mark up than you will get. And believe me they make orders a month what you will turn over in 2 years! Because of this they might give you a cheaper price than the distributor as a trade sale.
