- You know the minimum requirements just go to the store and look on the boxes.. Most computers will run the game fine, even the cheapies at walmart. But if you are using Vista i'd suggest 1.5gig or more. I've heard from alot of people Vista will eat 500 megs of memory easily.
- Windows Vista?? Weird, you can barely even run games on Windows Vista. It's not made for games. But what i have and works fine is 1GB of RAM, at least, and a good enough video card. I do have a computer with Windows Vista and it's soupped up.. It has NVIDIA car 8600GTS, and 1GB of RAM. It runs games pretty good that's not the problem. The problem is Vista itself. It sometimes ends the program or crashes. Also, try to keep your computer as cool as possible. The comp i have has 5 fans, which is pretty sweet. But that's because i have 8600GTS. In the end, to play WOW you would just need a good video card, and RAM, and a good cpu in general. =)
- A very good list of software compatible with Vista can be found at http://www.iexbeta.com/wiki/index.php/Windows_Vista_Software_Compatibility_List . In the games section there is quite a list and it includes hints as to whether the games need to be run in compatibility modes or administrator or such. The box should include minimums and recommended specs. get the recommoded at least, but at least 2GB RAM. As to cost, the rule of thumb is this: whatever the desktop costs, the laptop will cost about 2X as much for the same performance. I recommend a laptop/notebook referred to as a 'desktop replacement'.
