Want to increase clock speed of CPU?

I have a Compaq C752 TU Notebook (Mod C 700 ) notebook, which came with Intel 965 GM Motherboard @667 MHz FSB Intel C2D T5450 1.67 GHz I want to overclock the CPU to a higher speed can someone please suggest to how much can I do it and how to do it ? I know a bit about the technical part but I need someone' s help in actually doing it . I couldn't get to the requisite options in the BIOS .. Help someone !!!!

  1. It's generally not recommended to overclock the notebook. That's because the temperature of your parts are probably very close to damaging temperature already. By the way if you use Vista, SP1 is out. Please check out my source =)

BASICALLY what you need to do is slowly make your cpu frequency or fsb go up..apount 10 unitts at a time. untill you get to a point where you can boot anymore then go to your last good boot settings...stress test...test ur temps..thats all ask here mabye ?--these people are clever http://www.ocforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2
  3. That computer has no options in the BIOS to overclock. OEM mfg's, DELL ,Compaq, HP etc are not made to overclock. You need an aftermarket MOBO for overclocking. None of which are available for notebooks.
