Is this a good price for a refurbished Gateway computer?

$429.99 on Tigerdirect: Gateway GM5259E Refurbished Intel Desktop Computer - Intel PD 820 2.8GHz (Dual-Core), 1GB DDR2, 200GB SATA II HDD, DVD±RW Dual-Layer, Flash Media Reader, Intel GMA950 Graphics, Windows XP Media Center 90 day warranty on parts and labor. Thanks for your opinions. Based on others' experiences, I'm trying to avoid Vista.

1. Not bad...good deal... I like Tigerdirect.com thats where i buy EVERYTHING i need for building computers.
2. It's really not a great price on a refurb, especially a Gateway. They've had a lot of problems recently, and have been bought by Korean pc manufacturer Acer.
3. This is definitely an excellent price. The only concern I have for you is that they are only offering a 90-day warranty. Dell and HP (the last I knew) offer a full 1 year warranty on their refurbished models. You are also making a good move avoiding Vista right now. I don't think it is worth even attempting until at least Service Pack 1. Also, do not fear the refurbished models. These PC's have to go through more testing than new models in order for the companies to sell them, so your less likely to run into problems. Good choice.
