dell d820 notebook parts?

If i were to take out the video card, ram and hardrive, could i buy another laptop (cheap) and put the video card in that one. given i buy a laptop that could upgrade to such parts etc. whats a good replacement laptop? here is my other one http://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/latit_d830?c=us&l=en&s=bsd&cs=04
