Please help, trying to defrag my hp computer and getting this message.?

My brother has high speed through charter but lately the computer is really slow at times. He deleted temp files and cookies, and took some things off the computer (like some extra stuff he don't use). He also ran the Norton. Now here is the troubling part, when he tried to defrag the system, this popped up,"D drive is too full, you only have 11% free space but need 15% to defrag." So, he went to the D drive and it is empty, like nothing is in there. Any help is very much appreciated!!!!! Thank you

  1. If Drive D has nothing in it, just try to format the drive and it will clean up all the "invisible" files folder and try to defrag again. My Computer > D: (Right Click) > Format
  2. make format for that D harddrive.
  3. go to disk clean up, and go to more options, look for system restore, and click it it will delete all restore points up to the last one, it will give you tons of space back and you can then do your defrag, good luck to you.
  4. your not defraging the d drive your doing c:drive right also go to windows live and do there check up you got to do that wga junk but they found 4 things that all my stuff couldn't find try it out at the link below make sure nothing is running in the back ground
  5. get rid of norton for starters!!!!
