If You Know Anything About Gateway Laptops Please Help!?

Hello, Recently My Gateway Computer Had A Melt Down, It Wont Charge Or Anything We Bought A Brand New Battery And Cord But Nothing Is Happening, Basically I Would Like To Know If And How I May Be Able To Fix This, All I Know Is That Its A Gateway Laptop :S Its Basically Brand New Please Help!

1. If it is almost brand new, it should be under warrentee. Unfortuntely it sounds like either the power supply (most likely since both the battery and cord won't work) or the connector that the power supply plugs into (which is part of the motherboard). Call gateway support and explain the problem, they should be able to give you an address to have it serviced at. But be warned they will probably format your drive.
