Gateway Parts

Anyone have any experience with the Gateway laptops?

Good product or no? I'm talking strictly durability. Ours is not new, but not too old either. The hinges are cracked, and a piece actually broke off! We only open it in the morning, leave it up all day, and close it at night, so it's not like it's being opened and closed all the time. Then just yesterday the monitor went out, but would come back on when you moved it a bit, like there's a bad connection or something.

1. i have a new gateway laptop and its great. fast, i accidentally dropped alot of stuff on top of it, and it never chipped or anything. great product
2. I bought one and so far no complaints as far as durablity..the only problem i had was that when i installed my internet connection- it kept reading error..later to my knowledge it was not compatible with at&t sbc yahoo! i couldn't install it with the cd i had to do it manually...but besides that im happy!! I bought insurance of course just in case something in the future went wrong!! did you? if yes i think you can get it fixed or exchanged for a new one/differnent one..
