Notetebook brands - main difference?
What is the main difference among the various notebook brands? Consider the following: Acer, MSI, Dell, Asus, HP, etc. etc. etc... they create notebooks, but what do they put into their notebooks: Intel CPUs, AMD CPUs, winchesters, RAM from other equipment manufacturers... So... does it at all matter which notebook brand I buy, if all of them (more or less) use the same parts inside?

- All of them pretty much use the same kind of hardware. The difference lies in the build quality and design. Also, the combination of harware they put in the laptop. For example some laptops might have the motherboard you need, but not the graphics card. The trick is to know what exactly you need to get out of your laptop. Then decide on the hardware which will give you what you need and then select a manufacturer. I personally own a Dell Studio 15 which caters to my needs. I chose this for design, customization and value for money aspects. I pretty much can play any games (havent tried the latest GTA 4) with medium settings and I am happy with the performance. I run the latest games like Fifa 08, left4dead and Callout3 without any problems. Would like the build quality to be slightly better though. The whole key board area is not that great and the quick access touch buttons suck! Other than that I am very much happy.
- SHORT AND SIMPLE. Different brands will use different designs. there is no brand which is better than any other as all PC technology data is shared, they all can use the same things
