If my gateway MX series laptop says I have 64 MB of video memory, how do I use it all?

I'm trying to install a game that says I need at least 63 mb of video memory. I have 64 mb so when I overwrite the installation, it trys to startup but then the game shuts down completely not showing me anything. So I'm not sure what to do. I would like to know what's taking up all of my video memory and what I can do to get this game to install correctly. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
