  1. are you sure your laptop has a wireless nic card in it?? ok, now I understand. This might help you http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?c=L_Product_C2&childpagename=US%2FLayout&cid=1175239525860&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper&lid=2586039789B01
  2. Hmm if you are trying to get a wireless connection on your laptop, you shouldn't need to plug anything in the USB slot, assuming it has a wireless network card. If however, it does not, you will need a USB network adapter from linksys. Please add details if theres something I don't understand and I'll check back and try to help. EDIT: I really don't know network cards that well, but the card might not be compatible with the laptop. Linksys has a great wireless network card that plugs into your usb port. It works for pretty much all computers, I am using it on my OLD computer, the thing was made in like 1997 and it still works fine. Hope this helps :) EDIT: my bad it is a wireless network adapter not card, but it works exactly the same, it will pick up all wireless connections with one touch configuration for your router.
