my wireless will work for a while, then yellow triangle and it will be local only?

it's definitely a problem in my computer, i will be connected to the wifi on my laptop, an m-series gateway laptop, i will be connected "local and internet" for a few hours or so, then it will cut me off and say its dumb and local only, idkwtf is up with that, help plox? is it a virus? i don't remember it doing this a year ago when i bought the comp.

1. I asked the same question a few days ago. One answerer sent me to this site: http://gnarlodious.com/Computer/Lan/WiFi Funny that this is happening to me right now and I had to do the repair routine to get back on. To a great extent it is related to the distance from your wifi router, the number of walls and appliances, and sometimes even if it is raining. Also some cordless phones use the 2.4mhz band and they will cause this too. Basically the wifi is not all that reliable due to interference from other devices in our homes and workplace.
