how do i lock out the numbers on my gateway laptop?

i have a new gateway laptop and i don't know how to not have to push the fn button to keep typing.

1. Well I don't know to much about those labtops because I have never owned or used one of them. If the problem is with you having to hold down the so called 'fn' button then maybe you should invest in a cheap, $5 attachable number board through a USB port. Best of luck!
2. When you press the fn button and hit the number lock key, it will lock the numbers in. Do this again and it will unlock the numbers. (Sort of like a toggle key.) If you unlock the numbers, you will not have to do this again to type in numbers and keep typing test. (If you want them locked, just repeat the process, and to unlock, repeat again.) It is that way on Gateways or any other brands.
