is a gateway laptop with the following description with the price of $440 a good deal?

I never had a gateway laptop before and i was wondering if i should get this compare to a dell? mem ram:1000MB processor speed: 533 MHz hard drive cap: 80 GB DVD/CD-RW Combo what do u think of a gateway laptop?

2. well if you want a laptop, then yes, but you can get all that in a desktop for under $200......you can get 10x better ones for under $440
