i disengaged a computer for computer science program and I want to kknow how to identify some parts?

Iwant to know how to identify video( graphics) card, other expansion cards and slave master ribbons! One component has 2 circular lifesaver looking things on it. Its a Dell computer if that helps..

1. "disengaged" means what? with good photos I may be able to help. If you can get a brand name and part number off the boards, you can search the manufacturers web pages for a match. .
