Where does the red cable go in a Dell XPS computer?
When opening a friends Dell XPS computer I found a red cable labeled "9Y680" hanging near the mainboard. It has 9 pin holes yet I can not find the location on the mainboard as to where it should be plugged in. When searching this part number (the 9Y680) all I got for additional information was: Round Red Cable that Runs from System Board to Front I/O Panel for IEEE 1394 Can anyone explain or show where this 'red cable' is suppose to plug into the system board?

- The board fitted probably does not support the front panel connection. Do not play with this, you obviously don't know what you are doing.
- IEEE 1394 is Firewire. If the motherboard doesnt have firewire pins on it then they could not use the cable. Does the case have a firewire port on it, or a spot where a firewire port could be?
