Does Gateway make good computers?

I really want a gateway computer because I am tired of the normal computers I get and gateway notebooks are so cool looking .

1. They may have a good looking appearance but they do not hold a candle to Dell notebooks. Plus Dell has great financing options on their website. I pay $15 a month for my desktop which only cost me like $400 bucks! My laptop was a bit more, but my payments were not over $30 dollars a month. The techincal support for the Dell is unbeatable and the additions like the dvd/cd burner, photoshop and movie maker programs are awesome! I had a two gateways and both were garbage. I paid way more than I did for my Dells. I brought a dell laptop and 2 desktops and they are great! Got a new d.t. just last year, I've had my laptop for about 5 years and the other d.t. for about the same amount of time, still run great! They look cool too. LOL
2. They are a lot better than they use to be. Don't get me wrong. They weren't seriously bad before, but they have improved big time.
