how good are Gateway noyebook computers?

i just bought a M-6823A Gateway C2D T5250 and was wondering how they compare to other brands.

1. Gateway is pretty good nice solid brand imo.
2. I honestly don't know. the reason i am replying is to say that i just bought the cheapest core 2 desktop i could find. It is Gateway brand.Incase you didn't know that Gateway and Emachine did a merger...... and most of us know about Emachine ' s in a bad way.well the new Gateway i bought is an exact look (internally) as an Emachine. i don't know how the laptops are but i wouldn't buy a gateway desktop.when i bought mine i forgot about merger.
