Has anyone had a bad experience with a Gateway computer?
I bought a Gateway laptop at Best Buy and the screen went out while under warranty. I brought it back to Best Buy. It is taking so far over 8 weeks to get my computer repaired and get it back. They waited 6 weeks for one part- got it then ordered another part. What a bummer.

- A lot of people have, I'm sure. Just like any other brand.
- Welcome to the computer industry. Gateway, Dell, etc...They're all greedy bastards who outsource their jobs and overcharge those who don't know. If you can make your own computer, or know someone who can, pick out the parts on www.newegg.com. You'll save $200-400 and you know your computer better because YOU BUILT IT. Dell and Gateway rip you off BIG TIME. I built a PC from newegg for $1200. The equivalent at Gateway? $1600. Plus you get Mahatmawhatshisface over in India to read to you from the owner's manual for $100 a year. Fun! (That was sarcasm). If you don't know how to build a computer, I suggest you learn. I can't provide any sources but I'm sure with a little Googling (Or Yahooing...) you can find some. It can save you money and help you better understand your PC and any issues you might have with it. =] EDIT: Want another bad experience? I won't get my desktop I ordered February 5th till March 7th.
