Gateway Parts

Hi. whenever i try to install a software on my gateway laptop, it doesnt work,,an empty window pops out.?

And even when i try going to "my computer" and click on the cd-drive an empty window still pops out. i cant find the setup.exe software n other softwares that are suppose to be on the CD. please i need someone to help me. it has ben goint on for a long time now. the annoying part of it is that the cd's work on other computers. I use gateway laptop and its windowsxp. Thanks

1. Use Windows Explorer to see if the CD is a blank. Use it to eject CD and close the CD drive manually.
