Gatorade spilled on top of the CLOSED gateway laptop? Will it work still?
Last night I spilled gatorade on top of my Gateway laptop and I cleaned as much up as possible and I think it got inside of my laptop too. It was all wet on the carpet and i took the battery out and wiped it off but it wasn't wet. And then I let it sit for over night (from 2am til 2pm) And I turned it back on and it started beeping. And then it wouldn't go to the User's. It goes to this screen and has all this stuff pop up about the computer. I'll explain that part later. Anyways, I blow dryed it all low warm heat and low cool heat. Do I need to take it back? I'm pretty sure I got a warranty on it. My dad bought it for Christmas for me. I've had it since Christmas. I'm 16. Any help?!??!!

- you shoulda taken it apart straight away and blown it out....water woulda been better than gatorade, at least it wont dry up to be some sticky sugary mess.......but it might be alright. leave it near a radiator for a while with as much of it taken apart as poss so it gets good airflow.........just wait and pray.......I've got the same laptop my gf knocked a beer over a year ago and no problems.......
- Dude i recommend you disconnect it and wash it with water. It will work but it will be so sticky you will want to throw it away. If you have warranty use that as well. I had the same problem last year i just put water all over it let it try in a fan and worked good as new :D.
- Ouch... Not much you can do except have it cleaned and hope it didn't fry anything. If you do it, not only is it hard but it will void whatever warranty you have on it. BTW, warranties won't cover accidental damage, like liquids and breaking the LCD screen.
- Strip it as much as you can then place it near but not on a radiator, or under a normal light (i mean a desk lamp that is about 10cm away from the laptop) make sure you don't dry it out too fast so relax and wait a few days for it to thoroughly dry.
- letting it dry wont do it, the sugar in the drink is forever, It's probably toast
