my computer wont charge?
i have a laptop from gateway and it plugs wont charge. the adaptor head (the part that plugs into the computer) broke wore down and broke off and i got a universal charger and that worked for a while but then you would have to play with the head of the adaptor until it started charging and now it wont charge at all. i have two universal chargers in my house and both wont work so its the computer. please help!

- Possible damage to the internal PSU (power supply unit) from shorting out the connector due to continued damage. Are you sure that the universal was the exact voltage as the original. Just because the plug fit, does not mean the voltage was the same. Have to check the tech data on the laptop for power requirements and the data on the adapter for its voltage output. Might have to have the PSU serviced/replaced. Also check the connector for signs of discoloration. If you notice discoloration around the connector on your laptop, then there is possibly internal heat damage from shorting out.
