I've a old notebook Hp Compaq 1700T, about 8years, still work the spec: Processor 700Ghz Ram 300Gb HD 40Gb my problem is, i wanted to make it work faster but i don't really know, where the notebook parts should i upgrade if only Ram, maybe still slow(like Snail) just kidding Arigatou.

- More RAM if you can cram it in will always help. But if you're trying to run a newer windows based OS on it it's probably going to be slow. You might investigate one of the Linux distributions, such as Ubuntu, as some of them work well on older hardware.
- Your RAM is about the only thing you can upgrade in your laptop. Everything else is tightly integrated into the motherboard, and cannot be replaced. It's not like a desktop where you can upgrade component by component. You're stuck with what you got. I agree with the guy above me. If you're just going to do web browsing, media playback, and occasional word processing or office productivity, look into a Linux distro. You can even use lightweight window managers with them like Xfce or Enlightenment. They're so lean, they can sit and run directly from RAM. Your laptop will fly!
