Problems with Gateway Solo: Windows ME?

I have a Gateway Solo with windows Millenium Edition and whenever I plug in my iPod or Flash Drive memory stick it does not recognize it. I tried different ports and everything, but it is not recognizing them! Is is a problem with the old age of the computer or is there some type of software I need to download?? Help!

1. iPods don't work with Windows ME. Come to think of it, computers don't work with Windows ME either. You should get XP.
