Where can I find cheap computer parts to build a computer and/or computer p for friends that want to play game?

I love newegg.com, but the shipping really drags me down. I'm not really too sure as well if buying directly from Dell, or HP computers would be worth it as much as well. My friends that I want to join me in some games like World of Warcraft, Team Fortress 2, Ragnarok Online, say their computers just really can't handle it. Would going around craigslist be any useful?

1. Why not go to your local computer shop? The parts that you buy may be slightly higher but you won't be paying extortionate amounts on shipping!
