Where is a cheap, but good place to fix computers?

I need to fix an HP laptop. The computer part works, but not the screen. Does anyone know about how much this repair cost will run me or where's the cheapest, but still good place to take it to get it fixed?

1. fix it at your house.. use the internets to figure out what the problem is, then do it yourself.. you will save a ton of money, and will know how to fix it the next time.
2. The best place you can go is to a local small repair shop, where you can deal for the best price.
3. Yo never said what model of HP it is, but most repair shops will repair the screen, but look to spend somewhere in the neighborhood of $200 - $400 to have it repaired.
4. Normally your own bedroom with the help of Google or a good friend whop is good with computers - or get friendly with the school computer guy.
