Gateway Laptop T-1625 won't turn on and won't charge. Help?

Ok so I have a Gateway Laptop Model T-1625. It worked great for about 3 months, and then one night while I was falling asleep, the computer was closed, and I accidentally dropped my phone on top of it. (Once again, the computer was CLOSED). But anyway, since then it hasn't been able to charge, and it is now dead. I try to turn it on but a red battery light just flashes. I plug in the AC adapter but it still doesn't charge. I tested the AC adapter with a voltmeter and it's just fine. The pins on the head of the adapter and on the power part of the laptop are fine and straight. Help? Oh, the warranty is expired too. =) (sarcastic smiley face) ^

1. I don't think a laptop breaks just by dropping a phone on it unless your phone is huge and heavy lol. but really the best option is just go to a computer repair shop and ask them to check what's wrong.
