which laptop is better?

I want to get a laptop to take with me to college. I'm gonna use it for school but also for music, etc. And I don't really want to spend a lot.   1. Typically, I would always advise to go with a Dell over a Gateway. However, in this circumstance I would suggest you go with the computer with the Intel chip. Aside from that, they both seem all to similar, and I would suggest that you decide based on price. I have a lappy with the Media Accelerator 4500, and believe me its nothing special. Neither of these machines will be good for any current gaming. School, work, media... you probably wouldn't notice a difference between these machines. Hope this helped. Cheers!

For the love of god, don't pick gateway. gateway usually has super bad batteries that lasts for only 20 min on highest brightness (and thats right after you buy them) and they break SUPER easily (if u drop them once, it breaks, parts usually break for no reason at all), they also are SUPER heavy. dont go gateway man, this is from a guy who owns a gateway laptop.
  4. i would get a dell because i have a dell laptop for like 3yrs already and still it works great.
