Gateway Parts

Gateway M-153XL...Anyone?

So I've started looking for a new laptop as mine's slowly on its way out. I know to stay away from HP's (know too many people who've had so many problems with HP's). Well recently I've come across the Gateway M-153XL and from the few (very few) reviews I've read about it, it seems to be a good computer. So, does anyone out there own a Gateway laptop or a Gateway M-153XL want to give a review? I know three people who owned the same exact model of a HP laptop and all three had various problems with it. My boyfriend continuously has problems with the motherboard on his laptop. So I think I'll stay away from HP.

1. are you kidding? i've heard nothing but good about HP laptops (i own one myself too!). Dell is the company to stay away from. but Gateway is a really good brand too (i used to have one before i got the HP). the Gateway is really really really good company. all of our desktops at my house have been Gateway since 1991.
2. actually gateway laptops really suck take my advice gateway sucks i used to have one and it got crapped up in 1 year because of some sort of memory problem id rather buy hp dell or apple so far i think dell and apple are the best depending on price range you wanna buy.if you are a person that wants to buy a laptop from 200 to 100 dollars you would pick dell if you wanted to buy like 1000 or like 2000 dollars apple would be the best company cause it has a lot of memory again do not buy gateway laptops cause they really suck. oh ya and my uncle bought one last week and it crapped up in a week.
