Gateway Parts

So i recently bought a new laptop. A Gateway m-7315u?

The box itself says it comes with 250gb hd. As you can see in the review online it comes with 250gb hd. So when i turned my laptop on it says a total of 111gb total. What could be the reason for me lacking 139 gb? It actually said 85gb free of 111gb. Could this be the software thats installed on it already? Am i able to get my gb's back? Thanks
