gateway gaming laptop question?

i was researching gaming laptops for nearly 2 months cuz im gonna buy one soon. Im trying to get a gateway gaming laptop. My Question is how come all the gateway gaming laptop series are so cheap. I looked up dell xps, toshiba, alienware, everything but gateway seems to have the best specs with the cheapest price. Why is that? Is it trustworthy to buy it?

1. not really my friend told me that gateway computers some how will have security problems all my friends don't trust gateway

3. Well because it IS a "Discount" Brand, it oh, has a 500 gig hard drive (Or whatever) But its made by a lower-quality compony, so on and so forth.

Gateway is a company that uses low end components to be able to sell the laptop at a very low price without loosing on it. experience with the company is that they tend to have issues (some very small) after a while, most high end laptop company's use more high end components thus costing more to buy. the best bet is to research using the parts not the systems . i.e processor (dual core quad core etc..) memory (size type etc...) Hard Drive (size etc..) graphics card etc... work out that you want to have then research, im not saying this cos i run a company in computers im saying this cos my statistics show that my main clients are gateway customers.
