I cannot get the DNS Server or Default Gateway on my new laptop?

Okay, i just got a cheap laptop for one of my summer classes, Howard Notebook, I currently bought a Linksys Wireless Router also, I hooked my desktop to it and my two other laptops. one is a Dell and the other is another Howard. But I cannot get the DNS Server and Default Gateway numbers on either of the Howards, I really need to know a way to get them. P.S. - I want to ue these Howard Notebooks rather than Dell. dont ask why please!

1. Hard code the DNS server to be the Linksys. Are you getting DHCP assignments? Try hard coding the IP values in. Are you getting link lights? Try changing cables.
