Which Lapop to Buy? Acerr,Gateway or HP?

I've zeroed in on 3 laptops in Circuit City but I'm not sure which ones to buy. 1) Acer AS6920-6508 16" Widescreen Laptop 2) Gateway M-6866 15.4" Widescreen Laptop – Blue 3) HP Pavilion dv5-1000us 15.4" Widescreen Entertainment Laptop http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/viewCompare.do?oid=215816&oid=215079&oid=215030&user=true Here are my details on Pros & Cons. But I'm still undecided. Is Bluetooth essential? If not now, in future?(Next 4 yrs) Is Video Memory useful. I dont play computer games. 1) Acer - Pros: Good screen resolution, Cheap, Good Design, Finger Print Reader. S-Video Out Cons: Less Video memory, Weight, No Bluetooth, Not a good brand name 2) Gateway Pros: Cheap, More HD Capacity,Bluetooth Cons: No FingerpRint Reader, No S-Video Out, Not a Good Brand Name 3) HP Pros: More Video Memory, Bluetooth, Expandable to 8GB, Less Weight Cons: Price, No FingerPrint Reader, No S-Video, Less Warranty on Parts/Labor

  7. deffinatly the HP. gateway is basically the same as HP though. they branch off from one another. I would recomend HP though.
  8. I wouldn't go with the HP, my friend and I both have bought them before, and they both sh*t the bed on us... I have a Toshiba now and I like it very much... good luck!

  13. well acers are cheaper and so are gateways but theyre not as good as the HPs at all so i would DEFINETLY go with the HP

  16. Im pretty sure Acer owns Gateway now, so your probably looking at about the same laptop. I would definately buy the HP. I have a Compaq laptop and I couldnt be more satisfied.
  17. Based on my priorities it would be the Acer. The extra weight won't matter, bluetooth doesn't matter unless you have bluetooth peripherals (you can always purchase a USB bluetooth dongle) and you won't need the extra video memory unless you play movies or use high end 3d production software. Seems like a nice computer, but I recommend forgetting all these and buying a macbook. They've got all the features here except it has a smaller screen and no fingerprint reader. You can install Windows Vista on it and run it side by side with OSX. Also Apple's got great customer service, so if you ever need support you can get it easily. Hope this helps!
  18. im on my new gateway laptop right now.... its great and super fast.. you shouldent compare with features but more with specs... i personally hate HP.. it messed up my moms computr and all my friends ust hate their HP laptop. Acer is great company for ppl on the go.. or if your a traveking buisness man. and Gateway is for the casual internet surfer or gamer HP uses cheap parts and lie about specs... 2.5Ghz..pshh more like 30 seconds for internet explorer to load
  19. STAY AWAY FROM HP COMPUTERS they sucks. get a acer or dell or sony. but do stay are from gateway and hp computers they both sucks and their tech support are a joke you can't understand any of them.

I would highly recommend that you get the acer for two reasons.. 1) its cheaper than the rest and has more features. 2) The brand on computers doesnt make a big difference because the parts are made form close to the same companies with the same stats one of the only big differneces is that with non name brands is that you get a little less costumer support but why do you need them when you have us
