HP TouchSmart PC better then MacBook Pro?

Hey Every1! Just as the question asks I wanna know which computer is better? The HP TouchSmart PC or the Apple MacBook Pro notebook? I do wanna have something that's compact & these 2 are pretty compact & functional. I really do like the Apple Mac OS X Leopard Operating System but I also like the TouchSmart part of the HP TouchSmart PC! Which 1 do u guys think would b a better purchase? (& y?) Which 1 is faster & easier 2 use? Which 1 gives the best performance? Which 1 would help me in things like school work & surfing the net? Which 1 would u wanna buy? (&y?) PLZ & TY 4 ur ANSWERS!!!!!

1. Well actually i have the HP TouchSmart PC and i love it. I would say it has better performance the Apple Mac.
2. I'm guessing you'd find the TouchSmart faster, but the mac better over all. School work and surfing would be swifter on the mac. I'd definitely buy the mac.
3. touchscreens get annoying... they are great for showing off.. but do you really want to be movin your arm in space to click on stuff.. you have to press the screen then if you want to right click your have to press on a virtual mouse onscreen to what button you want. if text is too close together you might press something you don't want, specifically online. Mouse is more efficient. The itouch comes with a lotta crap that eats up memory as well. be sure to uninstall or disable a lot of it.
4. You get more for your money with the HP TouchSmart PC. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it and have played with it in electronic stores. It is definitely where the future is headed. I played solitaire on a humongous touch screen...has nothing to do with performance but a nice feature to have. I'm a laptop girl so I probably won't buy one but if I had to choose a desktop that is what I would go with. Also, if you don't want to use the touchscreen constantly you can use a mouse and will operate like a desktop pc. And don't forget the model that comes with a TV tuner. You can get a flat screen tv and a touchscreen computer rolled into one!
5. mac book pro i don't know about the other one but it probably is good too.
