Can someone suggest some good computer parts for me?
I have 1500 bucks to blow on a new computer. I just want to order the parts from new egg but I don't know how to tell if they're compatible with each other. And I need to save some of that money for a monitor, but I'm thinking that I want to get a T.V. to use as my monitor cause I'm going to college in the fall so it'd be nice to be able to use one screen for two functions.

- for 1500 you could build a kick ass computer. Try and go to a custom pc site. They put everything together for you and test that everything works. You should try and get the new intel i7. Super fast. It's the ferrari of processors out there right now. Also look at cramming the most ram into as possible, and see about getting a processor water cooling kit by zalman.
- I agree with mackdadd, you can put together a nice computer for that $$. Look at pricewatch.com to compare prices. A barebone is probably the best thing to start with, that's a case, power supply, motherboard, CPU, fan, and sometimes RAM all assembled and teasted. With a DVD and a hard drive, the most cost you'll have is the operating system. My fav barebone shop is 3BTech.net
