what is the best brand of laptop?

i am a computer guy but im not Shure about gateway. im looking at the gateway fx, the dell xps, or a sony. i normally don't like dell at all, but the xps gets good reviews. i like sony, but they get pricey. and gateway has not been popular in years, but i like the specs of the fx.

1. Get a dell dude. I have had a few Dells...a few Toshibas...and I can honestly say that if I were to get another it would be a Dell. One major reason is the service. You really can't go wrong though with any of the the major brands. It comes down to personal preference and experience.
2. They all are just crap. Get a HP or Toshiba. I am using the both. Both have best Quality products and Warranty.
3. Within your options, I would go with dell or sony. I do not find Gateway that great. I have heard many amazing things about Dell. Sony can be a bit pricy but within your options, they present the greatest quality. Their laptops are amazing and better than dell. However in my opinion, I would prefer you go with HP. Their quality and features of their laptops are simply the best. What is your budget and what kind of laptop are you looking for? Go with HP as it is really good. But if you want to stick with Gateway, Sony and Dell; go with the Sony Vaio. I hoped this answer helped! Good Luck!
