What parts of a computer draw power directly from the power supply, through the connectors?

1. Yes... There a connection from the power supply to the motherboard and then there are connectors to the Hard drive(s), CDRom(s), floppy, and maybe to your video card if you have a high-end card.
2. motherboard, hard drive, dvd drives, fans, graphics card if it needs more power.
